The Short Answer

Newmark Homes is a name that doesn't come up as often in casual conversation as some of the more heavily-advertised national builders, and that's largely because they don't advertise as aggressively — they've built their Houston reputation on word-of-mouth instead, which in my experience tends to mean the buyers who choose them have done real research first. What consistently comes back from that word-of-mouth is warranty service: Newmark has some of the better post-closing responsiveness among the upper-mid tier builders active in this market.

If a buyer of mine is willing to do a bit more legwork to find a builder rather than defaulting to whichever name has the biggest sign at the community entrance, Newmark is one I'd suggest they add to that research list.
